Replacing my Charge 5

I have been a Fitbit user since 2015.  In the last 4 years the Fitbit has helped me lose 130 pounds. I have gone from struggling to walk 2 miles to averaging over 13,000 steps a day.  I have gotten my minimum step count every day for 526 days in a row.  I have gotten multiple people on Fitbit.  I have loved my current device, a Charge 5.  I have had it for 6-8 months. It is the perfect device for me.

Now I am faced with a decision I don’t want to make. While my current Charge 5 has served me well several weeks ago I began being  plagued with the battery issue.  I am now down to recharging it every 3 hours.  Forget sleep score.  Forget hitting 13,000 steps a day or getting 12 active hours. I can barely hit 7,000-10,000 steps a day that get counted.

I have spoken with customer service multiple times. Done all the stuff.  Last night they. Told me that they can’t help me any more.  Fitbit is forcing me to look at other devices.  Honestly, I am very sad.

So, I am looking for suggestions on where I need to go for a replacement. I don’t want a watch. All I want is a fitness band. Something to track my steps, exercise, heart rate, and sleep.  Please comment if you have any suggestions.

Honestly, if Fitbit had another device that would work as well as the Charge 5 for my needs I would go to a different Fitbit.  This isn’t an affordability issue.  I just need it to work and have confidence that it will continue to work.

Thanks!!

Sorry but I don't quite understand.  Are you saying Fitbit is telling you that 3 hour battery life is acceptable so you are not under warranty?  Or do you just not want a warranty replacement because you figure Charge 5 is no good?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Fitbit is under warranty. No replacement offered.  So solution offered is to wait for a firmware update.

I don't have an answer but just had a disappointing experience with the Fitbit Help chat. I'll now be switching trackers when my Fitbit 5 dies, which sounds like could be sooner than later, so I'll watch your post.  I've loved my Fitbit, but taking out the altimeter so no stair tracking was really annoying.

Did Fitbit support explain why they would not replace a defective device if it is under warranty?

Push for replacement definitely. Dont give up.

Long term fitbit user since Flex. Some behaviors are rude.
