Resting Heart Rate stuck for over a week...

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My resting heart rate hasn't moved one digit for the last seven days. Constantly the same, regardless of my sleep patterns or exercise exertion. I have attempted every solution posited on this forum, even going back to old Charge 3 solutions since I previously had that device, but there's no fix.

The most recent attempt was to delete the FitBit app on my phone and re-sync everything to no avail.

Does anyone else have a decent idea? Perhaps the newest version of the app (which was updated on Android about a month ago) botched something recently?

Hi, @KlootzVHB , this is not necessarily an error.  It could be that your RHR has remained steady over the week.  If your Fitbit appears to be reading your heartrate normally (changing depending on your exertion levels) I would not worry too much.

I'mma call you on this - I've had a FitBit in some form for about six years and never once has my RHR been the same six days in a row. Sorry - no way is this reality. Something is definitely wonky in the software of either the app or the reading of the RHR overnight.

@KlootzVHB , it is not a matter of calling me on it.  I was simply suggesting that it is possible that your RHR really has remained steady and it may not be a malfunction.  But if you feel this suggestion is unlikely to be correct based on your own experience, then I would, of course, defer to your experience.  I have not, however, noted others raising this issue.

In that case I would suggest giving your Fitbit a restart.  Instructions are here .  It would also be a good idea to delete your app and re-download it.  That will make sure you have the most up to date version and bug free version, and will force a new log in.  You may also want to restart your phone.

If neither of those steps solves your issue you may want to get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on Contact.Fitbit.com to see if they have any further suggestions.

I hope this helps.

As suggested previously, you've likely hit the unlikely odds of having the same RHR for a long period. The RHR is calculated from your heart rate data, if that's complete (so, you see mostly continuous data in the app), it will give you a value. If there isn't sufficient data to calculate such a value based on the previous day/night, it will actually just not provide a RHR value (shown as -- on the tracker, and hidden in the app entirely).

So yes, while it's hard to believe this is the case, the value is probably correct for this time period.

I just checked and I also had a period of having the same RHR for five days consecutively last month, with it starting to fluctuate again afterwards.

@KlootzVHB  why can't it stay steady for a few days? It's nothing unusual. Here's something from my HR log

It hasn't changed for 5 days. Nothing weird about that and happens from time to time.

My average resting hr hasn’t even displayed. for the past few days in the app. The graph bar displays but the daily average number  doesn’t, except on the Fitbit itself which displays the same number.
