My Charge 5 used to accurately calculate resting heart rate until a couple of months ago when it started to be clearly too high. The resting rate displayed is often above the highest recorded overnight rate. In this picture the rate is recorded as 58. Fitbit changed the watch but the problem persists. Clearly there is a fault in the algorithm used to make the calculation. Anyone else had this problem?

Can you remember EXACTLY when this happened? I had this issue Mid to end of September. Just blammo +10 to my normal resting heart rate and yet to go back down.

Sorry can’t remember exactly but I think it was in August. I always suspected that changing the watch was not going to solve the problem which seems to me to be a software malfunction. I have no reason to think that the heart rate is is being recorded incorrectly, the pattern and response to exercise has not altered.
