Any way to retrieve steps after batter dies while out walking?

I understand your concern and while there is no option to retrieve steps after batter dies, you can manually log your activity by following the instructions in this help article: How do I manually log exercises in the Fitbit app?

Additionally, I recommend checking if your Fitbit app is updated to the latest version as updates come with new features and bug fixes: How do I update the Fitbit app?
