Row Machine and Stair Stepper Proper Tracking?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

When will these be property fixed, even proper manual entry would be nice.  Currently I do 30 minutes of rowing and the 5 does not detect it and manual entry is uselessly inaccurate for tracking calories.  Similarly, stair stepper activity is not detected (I see this is a common complaint) but the manual entry again is lacking (at least detect the steps, that is this device's bread and butter, then convert them for step-ups with a formula on the back end when you log it; alternatively let the user manually enter the number of steps and convert them).

Thoughts?  Alternate work arounds?  Future fixes pending?

Hello @Huygens and welcome to the Community.  I don't understand why Fitbit doesn't add Rowing as its own shortcut.  I'm sure it's much more popular than some of the shortcuts.  The only option is to use the Exercise app with the Workout shortcut.  You can change the name using the Categorize Exercise option in the Exercise Details.  There is a Stair climber shortcut, but it is important that your arms swing freely.
