I’ve had a few other Fitbit my last one was a charge 4-which had the stairs climb feature which I find helpful, I climb a lot of stairs. I upgraded to the charge five and I thought it had the stairs climb feature on it also is there any plans to add to feature to the charge five I miss it ?

Charge 5 does not have the hardware altimeter so could not be add via firmware update.

Me too 💔
Stairs count was one of my favorite features,, very annoyed to know that tgey remove it.
My charge 3 freezes and it stopped working.
I just bought charge 5 💔🥺 didn't know that it doesn't count stairs👎👎👎
I went for a hike wearing my Charge 2 a couple of wks ago. Did roughly 14km and burned 3007 cals having climbed the equivalent of 204 floors. Walking uphill burns more cals then walking on the flat, so if i did the same walk wearing my new charge 5, would it show the same amount of cals burned as it wouldn't take the uphill climb into account.

Really disappointing!! I am not ok with that move! I am to look into a competing product now.
SAME with me!! I was sure it would count stairs also - as it is expensive!
I was very disappointed as well. I liked the stair count and there is something to be said of that metrics. They should have least let us know they are discontinuing that feature. It seems like a "step" backward!
Also very disappointing, with much time wasted searching for the stairs feature prior to finally logging into the forum to see so many others expressing the same feelings. In purchasing the Charge 5 I assumed it would have all the features of my earlier model, plus a bit more. So frustrating, I need to climb a mountain to get over it!
I discovered same after updating when Charge 4 broke down. I am very annoyed, they advertise all the new frills but not that they have downgraded a function, and why on earth do it. Hills, climbing, are all major exercises, I will be leaving the Fitbit ecosystem now and wanting my money back. Stupidity.
So disappointed. Didn’t expect my new Fitbit would have less features than my old one. Wouldn’t have bought it! Feel cheated. I used to challenge myself by counting stairs climbed.
I sure felt cheated also. I assumed the same. A fitness tracker without stair counting does not add up. I was extremely disappointed after spending that amount of money.
