Suica Card on Charge 5

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello Guys,

I am planning to visit Japan next month.

In Tokyo they use a transit card called Suica.

This card should be available on Charge 5 based on this article: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2465.htm

When I follow the instructions, I don't see Suica card under my fitbit wallet.

Do you guys know if this feature is available for Charge 5 bought in the US?

Thank you in advance.

Hi, @aalhariri welcome to the community, I do not have any experience with the Suica card but as a visitor to NYC have successfully loaded & used the NYC OMNY card on my Fitbit Sense. You should note they are quite different in that the OMNY card links your payment bank card to the system & automatically deducts from your payment bank card on use whereas the Suica card has to be preloaded. Preloading can only be done with Yen and credit cards are not used. Suica | Fares & Passes | JR-EAST provides detail.

I hope this is helpful, There is a Japanese language board, go to the bottom right-hand corner of this page, and click "English" and Japanese is the one under Italian. If needed you can use Google translate to post there in Japanese.

I hope this is helpful.

Cheers

I've found that the option appears after I've set my account region to Japan and app setting to Japan. Forewarning that the fitbit then automatically updates to Japanese language though.

You may still have trouble afterwards. See this thread: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Versa-4/Error-when-adding-Suica-quot-The-system-is-busy-quot/m-p/527...
