Syncing app to add wake up time

I recently got a Fitbit charge five as a present and absolutely love it, but there’s one thing I’m wondering about.

Last night I wore my Fitbit to bed to charge my sleep, but I didn’t manually at the sleep lock function in the app.

When I woke up this morning, I didn’t go on my phone immediately, but then after about an hour or so I did and I swiped down to sync my app and then all my sleep information came up but my problem with this is that it has your wake up time as the moment that you sync the  app, not your actual wake up time.

The last thing I want to do to see my accurate sleep results is to sync my app and go on my phone the moment I wake up because I like to wake up slowly and go I recently got a Fitbit charge five.

So my question is, if the Fitbit is able to detect in general in the night when you’re awake, why can’t it detect when you’re permanently awake in the morning to add your wake up time so you don’t have to manually with the sync function? Like if I woke up at 7am, but didn’t touch my phone until 11am, it would say that I woke up at 11am which isn’t true. Any help welcome. Thanks
