Terrible app update.

What a terrible update... not a nice look no colours , less data avaliable and no battery percentage available, after being here since the charge 2 it's looking like a change of brand for me and I've been looking forward to the charge 6 coming out but the app has spoilt it.

Agree!   This is so frustrating - can't log food, can't see what I NEED to see!   How do we get rid of the upgrade and return to the previous log app?

I HATE this - I am unable to use the device for the reasons I BOUGHT it!   ARG!!!

I noticed that it actually does kind of give you the ability to edit distance in swims, but for some stupid reason it only allows you to use mile units, so you've got to calculate exactly how far you swam in miles down to the hundredths place. Even then it's often not quite right, showing your yard distance being off by like 0.1. It will also futz up your lap counts such that it gives a count that is impossible given a known distance and pool length. Even more bizarre, if you have two swims back to back because you stopped and took a break, altering the distance of one will keep changing the distance of the other and vice versa.

I've been a fitbit user since 2014. I just bought the Charge 5 last week. I don't like the new app that kicked in a week after I bought it. The app has been slowly going down hill and losing features. I've been very loyal, but I think I'm done when my latest fitbit dies, which usually happens after about two years. Disappointed.

I agree, I've had my charge 5 since it came out and when it dies (which will be soon because its pushing 3 years) I will definitely be getting a different brand .

Jazmo73, this is spot on.. I am SOOO disappointed in the new app.. the biggest issue is finding the darned battery percentage. I was going to get a fitbit for my wife but not now. what a huge step backwards.

Could not agree more. Absolute Useless and annoying

I'm also very disappointed with the new app. It is frustrating less than the previous.

Please let me go back to the old app, please!

This is what happens when the teams who design and build the app, aren't actually using it themselves.

Why would they take away functionality? Is this just like a bid to get us to buy the premium? Take away things we're used to having? It really sucks

I agree. I messaged Fitbit about my dislike of the new look/app and their reply was basically "New things take a bit to get used to". Which is true to some degree, however I've been a fitbit premium user since 2014 and the app keeps getting worse with fun features disappearing. I'm about done here.

Most features are still there, but harder to find. More scrolling and clicking. I hate it.

I can't edit Activities anymore - they've made the box on the app readonly so a Workout can't be updated to a more specific exercise type afterwards.  This makes it considerably worse than the correctly functioning previous update - are fitbit going to rollback until the problems are fixed?  Amazing when I tried to leave a detailed post showing the problem with screengrabs it was automatically marked as spam!  What a way to treat customers!
