Total Steps for the year has decreased

I've been actively trying to get my average steps for the year to be 7000.  Last night(dec16th) when I ended the night I was at 6730.  My total steps for the year was 2,338,934 (dec 14th).  When I woke up this morning I noticed my total steps for the year was at 2,313,475.  I also noticed a few of my monthly totals have also decreased.  I don't enter any activities manually and I also don't always wear my watch.  I have a few months of 0 activity but it's just strange that previous monthly averages decreased overnight as well.

Hello @GeethaG

There's an issue on the Fitbit side that affects historical data in the Fitbit app where data "disappears" from the app. The team is aware of the issue and has been working on fixing the problem.

As best as I can tell, there isn't a loss of user data. To me, it seems there's a sync issue between the user data on the Fitbit servers and the app.

For now, there isn't any troubleshooting that we can recommend since the issue is on the Fitbit side.

Thank you! Are we expecting a solution by year end? I'm in a work fitness
challenge and this has put me back...

Hello @GeethaG

So far, I haven't seen a timeline for the fix. It's been very frustrating for all of us not to have access to our historical workout data.
