Tracking Heart Rate on a Charge 5 on Running app

Hi all

This is driving me nuts. I want to be able to track my heart rate (not my pace) when running. I can't work out a way of doing this on the Charge 5. Once I start the running app on my tracker it just seems to show pace. It won't swipe right or left and when I swipe up it just gives me the option to pause the run. I can't for love nor money view my heart rate while running! Can anyone help or do you know whether this is possible? I've tried contacting Fitbit on live chat which doesn't work and the person I spoke to on the help line knew less than I did about the tracker! Absolutely bloody useless Fitbit. So if any of you can help or advise that would be very much appreciated

If you have it showing pace in the middle of the screen, just tap that to scroll through a bunch of stats, including heart rate.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks so much! You've cracked it! You managed to solve a problem that Fitbit customer service couldn't. Cheers

I admit I wouldn't have been able to do it under pressure on live chat.  I needed a few minutes, not under pressure, to try it out to see if I knew the answer first.  Sometimes it seems to me that can be an advantage of sometimes trying these boards before customer service.  There are certainly many, many issues I have no idea how to answer that other here can respond to, but if I were customer service, I would be stuck trying to respond to everything.  Oh well.
