Update charge 5 device

I just got my fit bit for Christmas. It says the last device update was September 2021. How do I update my device

It will tell you when an update is ready.  In the meantime you can check that it’s on the latest firmware.

 

If you go from the Today Screen on the App on your phone, tap your profile picture then Charge 5, you can check what version it is.  Mine is on 20001.149.11

 

When a new update becomes available, it should show there and tell you to put it on the charger to update.

When there is a new firmware update ready, it will give an obvious notification on phone app and tell you how to update, basically just allow some time and keep it near your phone.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Also note updates roll out gradually; if you see of others getting an update, that doesn't mean you missed it; it still could be coming up to a few weeks later.
