I have transitioned from Inspire 2 to Charge 5, & I often used my clip w/the Inspire 2 when working-out as I would do yoga poses & hit side buttons when on my wrist, waterlock it, etc. When cooking/cleaning my hands are in/out of water often, so I would protect it w/wearing the clip on my bra-strap on same side I wear it when on my wrist (left/non-dominent). it would still pickup my heart-rate & steps.
I wore my Charge 5 in the Wasserstein Clip yesterday, and did not pick up my heart rate at all for the hours I had it on. Same spot I wore my Inspire 2.
Is there something to the settings I am missing to make sure it picks up that is more complex than the Inspire 2? Please advise. Thanks so much.

Hi, @DMG_NJ welcome to the community, I'm not familiar with the Wasserstein Clip (but have seen a picture on Amazon) you will understand the back of your Charge 5 needs to be in contact with your skin to monitor HR. In addition, you should check the setting on your Charge 5 where there is an on/off slider for HR.
I hope this helps.
Cheers

Thank you. Yes — all features for HR are switched on. The Wasserstein Clip is made specifically for the FitBit Charge 5, which I purchased from FitBit w/my Charge 5 [https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/products/accessories/charge5-wasserstein-clip-holder?sku=181CLH].
The clip has a disclaimer that some features may not work, but I had so much luck w/the clip of my Inspire 2 still detecting my HR while working out, Id hoped the same for the Charge 5. I think the sensors are wholly different, and will need to do my best to wear on-wrist, rather than clip, & only use clip when tracking footsteps & fear damage from use of hands / arms [vigorous yard work / house work, etc.].
Thanks so much.—DMG

@DMG_NJ The Wasserstein site shows more photos of the clip than the Fitbit Store. It certainly looks like the back of the clip is solid. The green LED sensors must be in contact with your skin to pick up your heart rate. Your Charge 5 can't sense your heart rate if the light is blocked.
