I have always put my fitbit into "walk" mode for my walks and never get any active minutes. I always found that odd because whoever I was walking with would get earn active minutes on their fitbit. I thought it was an age difference thing. Well, yesterday I accidently put it into "exercise" mode on my walk and halfway through realized my error. It was showing I had earned active minutes!! So I exited out and put it into "walk" mode and kept walking at the same pace... no active minutes were earned. I can't understand why it would be reading my heart rate differently between the 2 activities. Has anyone else encountered this? I tested it again today on a walk. Active minutes earned in "exercise" mode but none in "walk" mode...

Hello and welcome to the community, it is nice to see a new face posting, @Wsmfp.
Thanks for letting me know about this situation in regards to the exercise app on your Charge 5.
I just need to make sure about something, since we don't have a walk mode by itself but the workout Walk it's included in the Exercise app. Are you selecting Walk in the exercise app and then selecting other workout? And so, the active zone minutes actually start but not in the Walk exercise.
Let me know so I can give you the proper steps to follow.

I meant to say workout mode vs walk mode within the exercise app!
