Hello all my Charge 5 and my app are not reading correct caloire clunts. My watch reads a specific number of calories bunred and it matches my app dashboard daily calorie count but within my food tracker the amount of caloires burned is significantly higher.

In have tried disconnecting Bluetooth, restarting my watch, powering .y phone off and on and disconnecting my device and reconnecting with  no change.

Hi!  My charge 5 is not showing corresponding numbers for my steps.  My app shows about 400 or500 more steps than my tracker does.  I have restarted my phone, turned blue tooth off and back on, deleted app and reinstalled.  Nothing is helping!

Hello @Pretty-Sylli

There's a bug affecting calorie tracking. The team is aware of the issue and is working on a fix.

Hopefully, it won't be too long before the fix is rolled out.

Hello @Wifemomnurse

By any chance, did you also restart your Charge 5 either from the Settings menu on the device or by using the charging cable that came with your Fitbit? If not, that's another troubleshooting step to try.

Since you're seeing more steps in the Fitbit app than on your Charge 5, do you have your phone as a connected device in the Fitbit app? This is an option that can be used to track steps and exercise when you're not wearing your Fitbit. Some users have noticed that they get more steps when they have this option enabled and have their phone with them when they are walking.

To check:

  • Tap on the device icon in the upper left of the Today page in the Fitbit app to open the Connected to Fitbit page
  • Under Devices, you should see your Charge 5. If you also see Phone, then you have enabled the option to have your phone track steps & exercise when you're not wearing your Fitbit
  • If you do see Phone, you can disconnect it by tapping on the Phone tile to open the Phone page. Tap on Disconnect device and confirm Disconnect. This should remove your phone as a connected device.

Let us know if this worked for you.
