For anyone having difficulties locking and unlocking, I have found that using 2 or more fingers to firmly double tap has made it much easier. More specifically by using the pads of my fingers (as if you are taking a pulse) so that you are tapping the whole screen instead of a point. I hope this helps someone. 🙂
