Is there a manual for how to use Fitbit 5?

What are zone minutes?

How do you track exercise?  I walked for 60 minutes yesterday but fitbit only registered 30 minutes and I couldn't change it.  Many other problems.  Sorry so many questions but very unhappy with it.

Hello and welcome to the community forums @Fuzzy-Rabbit ! We were all new once and you came to the right place for some pointers.

This link - click to go there - takes you to the Charge 5 area. You'll find the user manual and related help articles, complete with videos and pictures.

Zone minutes are addressed here - click.

How activities are calculated - click.

When you walk with a wrist based device, you need to be moving your arms. When I walk and have my hands in my pocket or hold something close, the steps are fewer. If you're pushing a stroller or shopping cart, the steps are fewer. Anyway, you get the idea. Move your arms a bit more and see if that makes a difference in the step count.

If you have more questions, that's what the forums are for.

Thanks for the info.  Sorry, but to me, the manual is very confusing.  It tells me if you want to know, whatever, click here.  If I go there, he tells you if you want to know whatever, click here for more information.  Today I started walking at 2:37 pm. making sure to keep swinging my arms.  I finished at

3:30 pm.  The duration says 30 minutes It said I stared at 3:05 pm. (which was wrong} and had 27 peak minutes, 2 minutes cardio, and 1 minute fat burn which equals 30 minutes. What happened to the other 15 minutes of the walk?   Also, said 59 zone minutes.  It was much easier with my Charge 2; You just picked the exercise and I think pushed the sidepiece when you started and pushed it again when you were finished.  The correct time was then recorded.

Hello @Fuzzy-Rabbit

If you want to do a similar thing with your Charge 5 and press start and stop for your walks, you can.

First, check that Walk is one of the Exercise Shortcuts on your Charge 5.  You can do this through the App on your phone.

Open the App, tap your profile picture in the top left of the screen, then Charge 5, then Exercise Shortcuts.

Check to see that Walk is one of them. If it isn’t, swipe left on one you don’t use to delete it, then tap +Exercise Shortcut and add Walk.

Sync your Charge 5.

When you’re ready to set off on your walk, scroll across to Exercise on your Charge 5, bring up Walk and tap Start.  When you’ve finished, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get a big yellow pause button, tap then tap the big orange finish button.

If you want to you can use GPS to track your walk (it will use about 10% of your battery per hour though).  From the Walk start face, scroll up and you can see many different settings that you can switch on or off as you like.

If you want to edit the start and end times for an exercise session you can do it from the App on your phone.

Tap on the exercise session you want to edit. Tap on the 3 dots at the top right of the screen (or a pencil on Android). Select Edit Exercise Details and then you can adjust the times.

I hope that helps a bit.

More about that can be found here:
