Where do I find the ECG reports on the new Fitbit app?

Hi there,

I have my fitbit charge 5 since today and noted that there was an update of the design of the app a couple of days before. Now, I wanted to check the ECG and all the explanations on the internet tell me, I have to go to the discover page and start the health rythm assessment. But since the design is new, there is no "discover" page where i can go now. I can not find it anywhere. How can I start the ecg wit the new designupdate? Even my fitbit told me, go to the discover tab when i wanted to start the ecg. But there is no discover tab anymore.

I have an iphone with current software. I also deleted the fitbit app and installed it new. Nothing changed. Also a restart of the fitbit itself didn't do anything.

Hope somebody can help me.

Thanks a lot 🙂

Hi, @BenWe or anyone else on this thread having the issue, please could you post a picture of the ECG screen of your Fitbit telling you to go to the Discover tab on your app?  I have reported this issue to Fitbit and they would like to see a photograph of this so that it can be sent to the engineering team.  I now have mine working so I can’t photograph mine.

Thank you!

Haha now mine works too. Idk if they dialed up anything in the last couple
days. So sorry, can’t provide a picture but it strikes me as odd that they
are not aware of this.

Really annoyed today where has the ecg data tab gone all i have now is irregular notifications when i take an ecg reading manually i cant find where the data is being stored there is no ecg data, yesterday it was fine and gave me all my daily readings eg afib, normal, inconclusive now i cant access the manual readings anywhere on this new update all i get when i press heart is no afib notifications today

It is BIZARRE that you click on an erroneous error to access valid normal data. The watch ekg app also says you can download a PDF from the phone app and that is NOWHERE! Are you serious about our health or just looking for subscriptions?

Best Answer

I downloaded a few before and went to download my earlier one and dug around and couldn't find it.  Even looking under "Health assesments" in "You" lead me nowhere.  It turned out, for me at least, is that the "Irregular rythm notification" tile is the same width as the screen, and without the "Sell all" option, it looks like there is only one tile.  Once I swiped that tile to the left, the others became visible.

Really poorly designed interface.

Same here Sense 2 and ECG doesn't work. IT wants 'Discover Tab' which is gone after redesign. Really want to just smash it. Disappointed. I wish Apple watch work with Android. Really think to switch sides...

Mine works fine, the phone app just says "Phone connected to a different device." It is the first and only phone that has had fitbit though. I tried to attach a screenshot but that erroneous error everyone is getting that the body contains a number that isnt allowed so I cant attach a screenshot.  So the phone app is it is contradicting itself. All my numbers are there but the phone says they are not. Also on the Pixel Watch 2 when you do an EKG test if you scroll down it says a PDF of the test can be downloaded from the FitBit app on your phone. That is nowhere in the Phone FitBit app.

Same for me. Charge 5 tells me to go to the app and the Discover tab. But there is none on the app!!!! Am so mad, as I bought that thing only for the EKG app.

1. Open Fitbit app.

2. In the lower right corner, click on "You".

3. Scroll down to the section "Health Assessments".

4. Put your finger on the card (picture) shown and move it to the left. You should now be able to see the card for ECG.

I see the card (ist says active and ready for use), but I still cannot do an EKG on my Fitbit, as Charge 5 still says I have to install. Same as yesterday. I think I can only send this crap back. So disappointed.

This thread has become a bit confusing and describes a collection of different issues. But I believe the original issue, as described in the first post regarding the missing "Discover" option in the latest update of the Fitbit app has been resolved. At least for me, and I describe it in my post above. Now I can find the EKG reports and download them in PDF format.
