The Fitbit charger design doesn't make any sense. The magnetic part with the pins connect to the fitbit device (no criticism here!) but why is there a FIXED usb cable with a MALE (!) USB-A plug attached?
This design choice necessitates the user to remove any existing charging cable from a wall charger and obviously won't work with a modern USB-C charger at all as it comes with that fixed USB-A male plug at the other end.
I've uploaded two pictures here:
My frustration...
...my solution
Instead of swapping cables everytime I just wanna plug in any of my many existing USB-C cables (bedside, powerbank, car charger) into the fitbit charger (like you charge a phone) so I bought an USB-C female to USB-A female adaptor from Amazon, works like a charm!
For travel I'd very much prefer to have just that "magnetic box" with an integrated female USB-C plug and no fixed USB-A cable but such "micro" charger doesn't exist! (am I the first one who comes up with such an idea or why do all fitbit chargers have this stupid USB-A cable attached?)
