Hi all - apparently (and unfortunately) my Charge 5 is no longer able to sync correctly after spending some quality time with the customer service folks. It's over a year old so they won't take it back. I believe the watch itself works, in that it tracks how far I've run and then calculates my calories burned. It just won't sync. Does anyone know if my assumption is correct? Will it still track my runs accurately and provide calories burned, which is reason for me to still use it? Thanks!
Moderator edit: clarified subject.

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @bloome!
Sad to hear that you're having issues with your Charge 5. Even if you can't sync your device, Charge 5 stores your data, including daily stats, sleep information, and exercise history, for 7 days.
Concerning syncing issues in general, I'd strongly advice to have a closer look here to check if there's any reason that might apply to you before throwing in the towel:
Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Hi there, @bloome. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 5.
As @Talahthas has mentioned, most Fitbit devices store up to 7 days of detailed minute-by-minute data. If you wait longer than 7 days before syncing, you may only see the most recent week's detailed data. Summary data (calories, distance, steps, and floors) will be stored for 30 days. Since your Charge 5 measures heart rate, summary heart rate data will be stored as well.
Please feel free to reach out to our Support Team once again if you have any further questions or concerns regarding the outcome of your case. Since you have reported this matter to our Support Team, please note there's nothing left we here in the community can suggest other than reaching out to our team again.

Hi,
Thanks for your response. I understand from your response that the fitbit stores data for up to 7 days. However, what I really would like confirmed is if the fitbit continues to accurately collect my data (e.g., distance run, calories burned, heart rate) when I have it set to track my run since my fitbit no longer is able to sync. In other words, can I still trust the data to know I've run a certain number of miles and burned a certain number of calories just looking at the fitbit when I'm done with my run?
Thanks
