Workweek Hustle Not updating correctly from Charge 5

For the 2nd week in a row, and the 3rd time in less than 2 months, my steps are not syncing properly to my weekly challenge with friends.  Currently I have over 7k steps today, but only 3k are registered.  All steps were done after the challenge started (at least 5 hours after) and none were manually entered.  I've already tried restarting the fitbit, clearing the phone cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the app....all the basic "go to" suggestions, and nothing has worked.
