I wanted to use the new watch face called "Glimpse" (which I can see in the Gallery) but it is not available; the "Not available" button tells me to update the app on my phone (which I did) and do an update of the Charge 5. The Charge 5 update is not possible. When I click on "Check for Charge 5 update" in the app, all I see is a screen where the Fitbit logo fades in and out, forever.....
I have reset the Charge (removing all data from it), re-linked it to the app, etc., no luck. Is "Check for Charge 5 update" working for anyone else with a C5?

I'm having the same issue. I was able to update it but after update my screen shows the Fitbit logo every ten seconds... It won't turn on or work although the app states its charged and updated... I don't know what else to do.. trued the hard reset but it wont do anything. I'm so frustrated 🥴

I’m experiencing the exact same issue. Customer support was a joke.

As far as I can tell the Update is being geographically limited. Although it is announced as avaiable it is only available to those that FitBit want to help. (Subscription customers??)
I have done similar actions and my Charge is now a brick.
My Charge 5 suddenly went from 2 -3 days to 5 hrs of battery life. As far as I can tell the new update is not pushed to my device.
I have contacted customer support reset the device and my app. The version reported on the device is 57.200001188.58 it says it is "up to date"
I have followed instructions to use minimal notification settings and phone GPS.
The Fitbit was purchased Oct 2022 one owner and not abused.
It is very strange to see such a sudden loss in battery life.
I will have to shop ffor a more reliable band This one is unusable.
