watch face options

it used to be on previous fitbits I've had that you could edit the face to only display the items you want to see, out of steps/calories/hr/etc - but now on the charge 5, at least in the UK, all the available watch faces insist on showing all the options so you have to cycle through them - and for some reason mine keeps tapping itself away from the hr which is the main one I want, and then I have to cycle through six to get back to it - is there some reason why watch face designers don't incorporate the option to edit that list any more?

Hi, @Orm-Irian Welcome, Fitbit device options change with each new device, particularly watch face choices. The ability to set the data field seems to be a compromise resulting from the limited space available. Once you set your choice at HR it should remain there, if your sleeve fabric has a metallic element this might mimic the touch of a finger and result in the display changing. One option will be to set the "Water Lock" so the screen stops triggering changes in the display.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

oh, that's helpful - the selection changes even in short sleeves so i might also look at increasing the gap threshold (I think that's an option?) but will also look at what water lock does

Hello @Orm-Irian

Like you, I like to know what my HR is at a glance. I use the Runliner clock face since it has the HR on the front and I don't need to tap through all the metrics to find it. The Slashed clock face also has HR on the clock face. However, I like the colorful graph of the Runliner clock face which shows me my progress for Steps, Active Zone Minutes, and Miles.

Regarding the water lock, just know that you will need to tap very firmly and hard to it turn off.
