I woke up this morning and found that not only is there a problem with tracking food, but also water. With food, my entries are listed but the totals are not appearing on the main screen. With water, my entries are just not there at all, anywhere.
I'm having the same issue! Started happening between 9am and 1pm today (UK time)
I wanted to give it 24 hours before looking into how to report the issue. This morning, so far, it is tracking my food and water entries properly. Hope that is true for everyone else here as well.

Three to four days of the same frustration with food & water entries. Who even knows if the steps are even correct. I’ve tried all the suggested fixes and nothing has corrected the problems.
---
Unfortunately I’m still experiencing the problems with food & water entries. Some disappear, some add 4-5 times and totals are incorrect. Water has been disappearing completely. This has gone on for about three days this time.
Yesterday I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Today it is behaving normally. If you haven't tried to uninstall/ install yet, maybe do that and see what happens. It can't hurt.
I did that, as well as all the usual fixes that are always recommended ( because these happen so FREQUENTLY!), but the only thing that seems to help is by switching to the Public Preview app version, which I'm not a fan of. When I switch back to the original version, my food is still messed up. And I don't have any other connected apps either, I only use Fitbit.
Are you using the public preview of the new app or the old version? I have been getting disappearing hydration logs (water) in the preview of the new one. It disappears then reappears. Food logging is really really clunky in the new version btw. Takes twice as long.
It's the public preview to see new features before they're released. I honestly don't log my hydration because I drink a LOT of water and know I exceed my goals.
I am on a medication that specifies I need to drink 2-3 litres of water per day so I need to make sure I get enough, but equally it's not good on this medication to drink too much. I actually need an accurate water logger. Have you noticed the calories thing has changed to a static target. So annoying!

I use the water logging because I am on a fluid limitation of 2000ml per day. It's worked out very well for me.

Believe and act as if it were impossible to fail.
I've been using the Fitbit app on Android since early February, and this issue has recently started to affect me. It's gotten pretty frustrating now, because I loved how simple it is to log food/calories in this app. I just found a thread in here from 2016 with multiple users describing the same issue. That's ridiculous.
True, this issue has happened in the past. But my experience has been that it gets resolved quickly. I cannot speak for others. I've been using the app since 2021.
Best AnswerIt is now day 3 for me. I downloaded the latest version, which I had been told on the phone, should have resolved the issue but didn’t.
I am noticing the following:
1. Certain products show in the log three times after only being added once (for example every time I log tofu from TJ, it shows as three separate logs (tripling the calories etc).
2. There is a considerable delay between different views. In the past after adding a food, it was reflected immediately in the Today Home Screen. Now I have to force shut the app, open it and hope for the best.
3. Synching with Trainerize is NOT working. Trainerize only sees some of the items I’ve logged through Fitbit. Yes, both apps are updated and I even offloaded them, disconnected and reconnected several times - synching is still messed up!
