If the Fitbit app is running in the background I would appreciate my Fitbit automatically syncing when I’m Bluetooth range.

Hello @HKnapp 

According to this page which explains how Fitbit syncing works (<-- click link), the data is synced to the app during the day. When you open the app, you'll see the data sync.

Are you not seeing the data sync from your Charge 6 when you open the app?

I do! It is very easy for me to forget to open the app everyday however. And inconvenient to need to have it open for the duration of the syncing which can take anywhere from 2-10 min. Is it possible to develop a feature where my Fitbit syncs while connected to my phone with Bluetooth and the Fitbit app is in the background?

Let me contribute with some facts that may be helpful with your inquiry.

I recommend to sync at least once a day. However, your Charge 6 stores your data, including daily stats, sleep information, and exercise history, for 7 days. So you don't necessarily need to sync daily.
