I purchased the Charge 6 to monitor my wife's heart rate, look for irregular heart beats and record an ECG. I don't understand why the ECG can't be done while the person is being monitored. It has to be forced to record the ECG. Wouldn't it be advantageous to record the ECG based on the detection of an abnormal heart rate? The patient doesn't know when these will occur. It could be in the middle of the night. Any ideas?

Hello & welcome @Ronster9
The Charge 6 will send an Irregular Rhythm Notification if it detects AFib. This help page gives more information: How do Fitbit Irregular Rhythm Notifications check for AFib? (<-- click link)
