I bought a Charge 6 confident that I would be able to use Google wallet as I did before with Galaxy watch 4. Though I have cards on my Google Wallet, to use Google wallet on my Charge 6 I'm asked to add the card through the Fitbit app. When it's processing card details, it tells me it's not possible.
I read a post by the moderator AndreaFitbit saying that an important update would be made to Google Wallet on Fitbit on December 31. Is it possible that this situation would change after that?
I'm in Portugal and the cards I'm trying to add through Fitbit app are already on my Google wallet app and working with Galaxy watch 4.
Thanks!

I am also having this issue. To note I am a US resident. I do know that there is a separate list of approved banks specifically for Google Wallet on Fitbit itself rather than Google Wallet on your phone. I have a PayPal debit card that is issued as a MasterCard from Bancorp Bank. This is listed on both this list: https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/technology/fitbit-pay/banks
As well as this list: https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/technology/google-apps/banks
I am hoping this is some kind of error and the upcoming update remedies this issue. Thank you

Yeah, we are past December 31 and the "important update" to Google Wallet changed nothing.
Misleading to say the least, to advertise the Charge 6 as capable of making payments, but then you can't add any card (even though your cards are in Google Wallet). I can use it on a Samsung wearable but not on a Fitbit... Being Fitbit a Google brand

Hey Oscar,
I'm having the same issue here in Denmark/EU. Would be really nice to get Google Wallet / Pay up and running.
Best regards

"In the future" 🥲 would be nice to have a moderator replying to this. When in the future? When we decide to move on from Fitbit?

Still unable to use Google Wallet. Disgraceful.

Yeah. I still can't add either of my two MasterCards. I recently just got an Amazon Visa card that I was able to add, but I'd much rather be able to use my other cards.

Similar case.
Google pay is normal in my mobile phone. I set up google wallet for my Versa 2 through the app. After inputting the security code, the app displays "contacting your bank ..." and then "Something went wrong, Please try again later".
Would Fitbit/Google please follow the issue and solve the problem asap.

That's right, I am unable to add my HSBC credit card to the Fitbit app. It works fine on google wallet on my Android phone. I have contacted my bank and they say there is no issue with visa on their side.

1.1.2025 and I ran to the same issue as you did.
Still can't add cards to google wallet. One big selling point with Charge 6 for me was to be able to pay with it. Disappointed! When can I wait this to come?

Addition to my previous message:
I found out that my bank's cards are simply not supported yet. I guess it's up to my bank to make it work on Fitbit. How weird is that, because in phone's google wallet it works!

Final edit:
I acquired a credit card from the list of supported providers (found it somewhere in fitbit wiki) and it works nicely!

I think it's up to Google/Fitbit, honestly.
It's been more than one year since I made this post.
This was the first Fitbit device I got, and it will be the last, for sure.
The only card I can add is my Revolut.

I am also unable to add my cards. Both banks are on the list. They show up in my wallet. But it won't allow me to add it to my fitbit.
