I get notifications (vibration and Notification screen lights up) on my Charge 6 that I have a text message, but when I tap to open the text message, all it says is "new message" and has the buttons to "open" or "clear". The actual message is not there. If I click the "open" button, it opens the text message on my Android phone. I have never been able to actually read the text on my Charge 6. My phone is paired with the Charge 6. Any ideas?

Hi, @JennBSLP , when you get a text message notification, if you want to read the full message you need to go to the Notifications app on your Charge 6 rather than reading it from the notification pop up screen. From the clock face swipe left to the Notifications app and tap to open. There you should be able to see the message and from there you can tap to mark read or clear, and if you are using an Android phone you can also tap to send “quick replies”

@Julia_G Thank you for your reply. The instructions you provided are exactly what I do, however the actual message is never displayed on my Charge 6. I really need this function to work. Any ideas?

I was experiencing a similar issue where my Charge 6 wouldn't display text messages. I tried resetting the device and even unpairing/re-pairing it with my phone, but nothing helped. What finally worked was updating the Fitbit app to the latest version and making sure all notifications were set up correctly on both my phone and the device itself. While researching solutions, I came across a helpful resource that will let you buy dissertation lit review online for a small fee. They have a ton of guides that might be helpful. Give it a try and hopefully your issue will be resolved!
