I have been using my Charge 6 since the beginning of the year and I am extremely disappointed with the the requirement to upgrade to Fitbit Premium in order to use what should be basic functions of the watch. Functions that use the sensors of the watch should be included in the basic app. The Charge 6 is basically unusable without the app upgrade. Value added features such as workouts, etc I can understand requiring an additional payment. If you compare the basic Fitbit app to any of their competitors, the competitors all include features (at no additional cost) that Fitbit requires an additional monthly fee for.
I am nearing the end of my Fitbit Premium trial. I will not be renewing this upgrade and I will probably get rid of my Fitbit and buy a competing product that doesn't gouge it's customers and only includes a stripped version of their app.
