Charge 6 ECG tab disappeared from Fitbit App

ANSWERED

I just bought a Fitbit Charge 6, because of its capability to do an ECG and to monitor A-fib.
I followed instructions to set up up ECG, but there is no no ECG tile under Health Assessments. Health Assessments has only two tiles (High Heart Rate Notifications and Low Heart Rate Notifications).

I tried:

  • made sure that the location is entered correctly in the profile (and yes, I am in a place that is eligible to use the ECG feature).
  • re-installed the Fitbit app on my phone
  • removed and reinstalled the ECG app from the Charge 6.

All to no avail. The ECG tile never shows up.

I am using a Samsung Galaxy A04, running Android 14 and Samsung One UI 6.1.

Too late, I just returned Charge 6 as an open box. That missing feature and sleep tracking moved behind the paywall were deciding factors.  FRAP!

Hi,

Just noticed mine is missing both on the watch and from the app list on the Fitbit app. I have done a restart and a sync but no joy.

Firmware version: 66.20001.214.24

Welcome to the forums, @Skynet2mainfram and @XLR8ing_Deks.

@Skynet2mainfram I'm happy to hear that both the SpO2 and ECG app are available on your Charge 6. I appreciate your efforts and I hope you enjoy the experience with those apps!

@XLR8ing_Deks Thanks for joining this thread. Given this situation, let's try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app as a last resort. Then, open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync. Try installing the ECG app one more time and let me know how it goes afterward.

That worked! With my last recorded Afib 2 weeks ago (when I noticed the
tile disappeared) and then Afib again the last 2 nights. Oh well, and I
thought my meds were finally working. But thank you for following up.

@XLR8ing_Deks It's good to see you again.

Thanks for keeping me updated. I'm happy to hear this got sorted out and I hope you can continue using this useful app.

For the rest of those who reported this situation, I have great news to share! The issues with the ECG app missing from the Health Assessment section or showing a blank page on the Fitbit app are fixed and should work well on your end. So please make sure everything is updated and give it a try.

I hope everyone can continue enjoying the experience with your Fitbit device and its features.

Just bought a charge 6 specifically for ECG and it is missing both on device and gallery/apps.

I live in Denmark and location is correct in settings. I am using an iphone with ios v18.5.

App is up to date and device version is 66.20001.214.24

Reinstalled the app, restarted the device and now SpO2 disappeared from the device even though it looks installed on the app.

Uninstalled Spo2 and installed again, still not visible on the device. Restarted the device, still not there.

What a disappointment 😞  Should I return the device?
