Did not solve the persistent issue of the Charge 6 (and previous versions also) suddenly, unexpectedly failing to recognize exercises anymore. Nothing works to solve this issue.

From current information, this seems to be an unacceptable bug or intentional ceasation of the function of Charge 6.
This just happened right after the release of Google Pixel Watch 3.
"Now automatically recognizing running, walking, biking, elliptical, rowing, and spinning" seems to be "only recognizing" these workouts. No more swimming and other workouts recognized since then, and the accuracy is also very very bad when you do it manually.
I hope Google and Fitbit react to these complaints soon or I will sell my Charge 6 and quit the Fibit system completely.

I have been having so many issues over the last month or so.
There's always something that doesn't work properly on my device, the app and even my account on the Fitbit website. I can't follow any of the guides or help instructions because they don't have the same options or categories.
Notifications don't work on the app, even though they're set up and turned on but the last straw is that I have had 2 high heart rate notifications on my device this week but when I've clicked open in app they have vanished and there's no record of them anywhere.
This lead to me doing a device restart, forcing the app to stop and restarting my phone but this has caused even weirder problems.
I tried to reconnect the Bluetooth but the Bluetooth on my phone is showing no devices are connected. But according to Fitbit app it is syncing and sharing data??
On play store, it's not showing the option to update so that should mean it's the latest version. However, the version showing on play store is not the version on my phone.
What the hell is going on with charge 6 Fitbit??

My fitbit 6 froze after I installed the last update. It took me 35 days to get a replacement after Google/Fitbit finally offered me a 50% discount on purchasing a new 6 which I finally received @ July 2, 2024. I have ZERO interest in downloading the new "update" since my 6 has been working well for the last three months!

That sounds really frustrating! It’s disappointing when updates introduce such significant bugs, especially with something as essential as time. It seems like you’ve already tried a lot to fix it, and it’s definitely annoying that it’s still showing GMT+00:00. Hopefully, Fitbit addresses this issue quickly. You’re not alone in experiencing these bugs—many users are feeling the impact of recent updates. Let’s hope for a fix soon! Keep us updated! For more discussions, check out TheCapcut

I'm pretty much done with Fit Bit. It has gone down hill since Google took the reigns. This is my 2nd device to do this in 6 months.
Done,

This update hasn't fixed any of the issues I’ve reported. The app/watch is not properly properly tracking miles. It shows the miles at the end of my run but wont update the app, then when it finally decides to show it hours later the mileage is reduced. It deducts calories when i add a manual workout (weight lifting) vs adding burned calories.
since google bought fitbit its gone down hill

Fitbit Charge 6 won't update the app. See their is a firmware update. Go to try to update and the phone has everything grayed out. Both fitbit and phone charged to 100%. Update Tracker Software is showing but nothing happens when i press it.
Living in Asheville nc ... don't need this stress right now!

Hi @Vnwalker ! Thanks for your answer !
You can find the device's in the upper left side from the today's tab.
In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab Devices your device image. The firmware version number appears under your device's name.
On the Fitbit settings page, click your device in the Devices menu. The firmware version appears under your device's name.
On certain Fitbit devices, find the firmware version in the Settings app > Settings app About or Device Info.
If you don't see an update button, it usually means that your device is updated.

First of all, after reading a good majority of the 76 complaints about this update I find it egregious that Google once again seems to think that Fitbit is not their primary objective, Since googles primary customer is the pixel customer. It seems that all the people who are not satisfied with this update, are going to be disregarded and thrown to the curb. Google is more interested in their own devices, such as the pixel, watch, etc. they just merged with Fitbit because they could but the bottom line is is they don’t care about Fitbit users they just want the Fitbit money. It took Fitbit or Google almost one calendar year to update this watch we’re other manufacturers at least do it every six months. That said I have updated my watch to the newest version to 210.26 it took me four times to try to get it onto my watch Number two the new activities that you have listed are not listed on my watch. Number three I cannot get notifications on my watch. I have deleted my app three times reset my watch three times, and notifications were on in settings on my iPhone and still no notifications are coming through. They were working prior to this update. Another thing I noticed is that I have not changed anything on my watch that would cause any battery drain prior to this update, and now my battery is draining much faster. I have all the settings on default. So what’s it gonna be Google? Are you going to help us Fitbit people or create a new update or just leave us hanging with nonfunctional watches. I think if you were to ask a majority of people on here, they will probably never buy your products again if you don’t do something about it soon.

My C5 is still working… never installed updates on my replaced original (Updates on the original bricked it) … my view only: please DO NOT install any updates if you want your watch (C5 or C6) to continue to function fully.
