Dear FitBit support, I come from Charge 4, which I used always for "run" exercises, pressing Start before the Run, and it was tracking my run on map just fine - same map GPS tracking as on my phone with Strava.
Now with same phone, and Charge 6, the GPS tracking of my run in Fitbit is completely off. On phone (Strava) the run is showing up accurate, what FitBit has on map is completely off, it shows one small segment of the ~5km run and even that it the wrong direction.

To improve GPS accuracy while tracking running exercises with your Charge 6, I'd suggest switching your device's GPS mode to 'Dynamic'. Here's how to do that:
Same here, it often times only tracks the last 2/3rd of the run, switched to Built-in GPS to see if this works.
Best AnswerI think the built-in GPS on all models is basically worthless. You need to run with a phone, so you might as well run it in phone-gps mode and save your fitbit battery.
Your phone has a fairly large antenna that will never fit within the tracker. The smaller the antenna, the lower the signal level is, and the more amplification that is needed. This puts a challenge for GPS.
In dynamic, the Charge 6 should try and use the phones GPS first, but requires the wearer to have his phone with him.
The GPS signal is fairly weak to start and is line of sight. Trees, being close to any structure, cloud coverage can affect the accuracy.
There is one park I walk in, the path takes me by the wood line. As I reach the woods, I often see a shift In the GPS path because the trees have caused a delay in the signal.
