Charge 6 - How to get SMS notifications

When I first got my Charger 6 it showed any SMS from my phone which was handy. Since I think the switch of management to Google it started showing me emails instead of SMS which I have no interest in trying to read on my watch! How do I get the SMS back? I turned off push email in the settings but there seems no way to turn ON SMS .. 😭. Hope you can help!

Thank you so much for your question about how to get SMS notifications again and for all your efforts.

Please check if you can update the Fitbit app and if your Fitbit is up-to-date. For instructions, see How do I update my Fitbit device?

You can try to activate the SMS notification this way:

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon > your device
  2. Tap Notifications. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your Fitbit device to your phone and allow the Fitbit app to access notifications. For more information, see What should I know about using the Fitbit app on my Android phone?
  3. Choose the types of notifications you want to receive and the app you use most for each category.
  4. Tap App Notifications to choose other apps you want notifications from.
  5. Sync your Charge 6 with the Fitbit app.
