When will the Fitbit Charge 7 be released?

@RiekoC you may well be right. I was just pointing out that the Charge 6 was in fact not released at the ‘Made by google’ event in 2023, nor from any other google event.

The charge 6 was announced via a standalone web post on 28th September 2023 (titled: ‘Introducing Fitbit Charge 6: Our most advanced tracker yet‘; on the Fitbit community website) and also on the Google Keyword blog on the same date.

I believe the charge 5 was released in a similar fashion to this in 2021 (25th August 2021).

That doesn’t mean that there will definitely be a charge 7 this year, but if they follow the same 2 year pattern it should come out soon, in decent time for Christmas. Due to the way they released the previous versions, I wouldn’t be so confident that it won’t come out this year just because all of this years google events have passed. Remember that Fitbit is still its own brand, it’s just owned by google. The ‘Made by google’ events, and others typically focus on actual Google hardware/ software, and not the brands they own. 
I will personally be waiting a few weeks just in case (perhaps even until Black Friday at the latest), and will buy a 6 if there’s no news. But I don’t want to end up with a 2 year old version of the Fitbit if the 7 does come out, and then the 6 would have lots of price reductions, I’d be kicking myself. It’s worth waiting a few weeks for that. The cutoff point definitely hasn’t passed yet, and if it were coming out this year, it should be expected in the next few weeks (not at Google’s events).

That's not true. New Nest products were announced after MBG and the Charge 6 was announced after it two years ago as well. They've also released products in the spring.

While I'm still hoping for a Charge 7, the Pixel Watch 4 is pretty tempting, and if there is no Charge 7 before the 5 comes out, I might just give it a shot.

@mckillio I'd like to see a Charge 7 or similar Fitbit tracker soon too. It feels like we're overdue for something new. 

I have a Pixel Watch 4 and It's a nice device. It's loaded with features. The battery life seems better than the earlier Pixel Watches, but still nothing like a Fitbit.
