Charge 6 Keeps Disconnecting from Bluetooth

My Charge 6 keeps disconnecting from Bluetooth.  Even when I connect it again, after a few hours, it disconnects on its own.  I don't get notifications about calls/texts/events.  I've tried resetting the device, removing it and pairing it again, and all my software/firmware is up to date.  What should I do?

Hi @bobbyfitz4. Welcome to the community forums.

Thank you for sharing the details regarding this issue regarding the Charge 6.

Please try the following steps in order to avoid this situation:

  • Unpair your Charge 6 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Charge 6.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Charge 6.
  • Once your Charge 6 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Charge 6 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

I'm having this problem as well. I want my money back. The internet and the forums are full of this same problem across all their models. There's nothing wrong with your phone, this is rampant across iPhone and Android phones. Fitbit needs to pull up their stocks and fix their broken software across their product line-up.

Same. It's ridiculous that I need to restart my phone AND my Fitbit multiple times per day.

I have had my sense device since 2021, and reported this to FitBit a bunch of times. No action. Boo!!!!!!!!! I dont have any other bluetooth device that do this.  Maybe get some new developers who can fix this known design flaw.

I am at this very moment trying to reconnect my Charge 6.  I knew issues would start when Google bought them.  I too want my money back and will be returning tomorrow.  This is the 3rd time and when I do get it connected the data is wrong. I  do not use Apple products so wondering what else I  can purchase.
