I have been using my Charge 6 since buying it in July. This morning, I got up, and it is completely dead. No lights at the back, nothing. I have charged it, but still absolutely nothing. I am now seeing posts from others on the same topic. Is this the norm - 3 months and then that's it. I paid €169 for this fitbit and quite frankly, there is no way that this could possibly be the expected lifespan. Anyone else the same?

That is definitely not normal behavior for a 3 month old Charge 6. Please contact Support (<-- click link) regarding your options under warranty.
