Has anyone noticed with lower sodium consumption the RHR decreases? Shouldn’t it be the opposite. I’m not talking about excessive salt intake but let’s say if you are intentionally consuming low sodium (1400 mg) and then are increasing it to the standard recommendation wouldn’t resting heart rate improve?

It sounds like you are thinking higher RHR is good. That is just the opposite. Within normal limits, lower heart rate is good. Lowered heart rate at rest usually is a usually a sign of being in good shape from exercise. But perhaps lowering sodium intake also lowers RHR.
