Charge 6 - RHR has been higher the past week

Mr RHR has been about higher the past week with no apparent cause. No sickness or alcohol and it just seems strange. I seem to remember this happening once before and several others seemed to notice the same thing. Like maybe an algorithm change or something. Just curious.

In my case it has always been higher than what my RHR realistically is. It seems to me that Fitbit understands RHR differently than what is generally accepted.

Changes in your RHR are not necessarily due to sickness or alcohol consumption. What kind of changes are we talking about? It might be you are just a little under the weather, or dehydrated, or even a few nights is disturbed sleep. Without knowing the change, it's hard to tell

That said, my RHR has been particularly consistent on Fitbit. Looking back to January 8th, it's 52s and 53s with one day at 54. These are all higher than Google fit that records my RHR a good 3-5 BPM lower.

If you are comparable to do so, share the differences you have observed. The other thing you might want to do is use Health Connect to expert your health data to something like Google Fit and see that it makes of you data.

Fitbit is a constant outlier in this regard. I've asked why this might be and was given a load of nonsense on this forum.
