My Charge 6 stopped syncing this morning. It has always synced just fine and I had no problems until this morning. (As a note, I do not keep my Bluetooth on all the time. I usually turn it on and sync about three times a day.) I always sync first thing in the morning, and it just would not sync this morning. I went through all the troubleshooting steps multiple times, and still it would not sync. Finally decided to uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app (which I really didn't want to do, knowing it would require re-pairing). To no great surprise, after reinstalling, it now won't pair either. When trying to get it to pair after the reinstall, it continues to give the same message: "There was an error while trying to bluetooth pair your device. Would you like to try again?"
I contacted support via chat, and the rep said that it's a known issue that the app is having difficulties with syncing data, etc. right now, and that they are working on it. But I feel like if it was really a widespread issue and no one could sync/pair today, then this forum would already have a lot more people complaining that they can't sync and the Fitbit Reddit sub would be blowing up as well. So I don't know what to think. Is anyone else having issues syncing today?
For reference, I have an Android phone... not sure if that matters.
Hello @JuanFitbit
Please see the recent replies from yesterday and today (29 & 30 Oct 2024). The users are reporting that version 4.28.2 didn't fix the syncing issue.
Please let support know that the issue hasn't been resolved with the 4.28.2 update.
Thank you in advance.

Hmm... I had also rolled back to 4.26 and I'm still syncing fine. Of course, now that I say that, I've probably jinxed it, so I should probably keep my mouth shut. At any rate, for now, I'm still not touching any updates until it's absolutely confirmed that it's working as intended.

Thank you @JuanFitbit
Please can you ensure that when this is fixed and the app finally syncs, that it doesn't lose any data from the Fitbit i.e. unsynced days. My medical / health insurance premium is based on activity points so I don't want to lose what could be 2 or more weeks data. There's also the concern that when you delete a device from the Fitbit app it posts a warning that "unsynced data may be lost" and yet this was one of the required actions when the new app version was released.
I'm having the same problem my fitbit has not been working for 6 days now. I have turned phone and Bluetooth on and off. Tried syncing did not work like you I uninstalled and then reinstalled. I walked 9 miles last week, my phone only got 3! Since uninstalling I'm getting nothing at all! It's only 10 months old, it was a Christmas present. For the price they are I expect it to last longer. Very disappointed.
My tablet is now syncing with my Charge 6 but there is no data between Monday 21 October and yesterday (30th) when it only shows the number of steps I did between pairing the tablet and the Fitbit i.e. 2,964 steps rather than the approx 13,000 steps that I actually did. I hope the new update will recover the lost data as it must be stored in the Fitbit.
My phone is also syncing to the Fitbit despite it saying "to sync reliably, let Fitbit link to your Charge 6". which conflicts with the devices screen which says it is connected to Fitbit.
Best AnswerFor well over a week, very many have these issues. After the last update it seems syncing fails completely. As well as trying to pair new devices.
Fitbit/Google are not saying how long it may take to sort it. Very frustrating & annoying.
Best AnswerThe last fix was issued by Fitbit 10/29/24 according to the application. I don't see another update.
Best AnswerMy charge six failed to communicate with my android phone last week, thought it was Fitbit Bluetooth as did Argos who exchanged it. New Fitbit will not connect to phone.
