Charge 6 app shows more steps than Fitbit

My Fitbit consistently shows 314 steps less than what shows in the app after syncing. I have restarted both my phone and my Fitbit. I’ve not made any changes to settings or added any manual activity. If that's not accurate how do I know what else might not be? By the way I hate that the dashboard is gone. Seeing only one's most recent activity is practically useless. I wish it wasn’t too late to get my money back. A $10 pedometer would work just as well since the utility of the app has been made so complicated and is constantly changing as to no longer be helpful. I find it hard to believe in our capitalistic society that a company can’t make money by keeping customers happy and listening to what we want.

I'd like to let you know that we are currently experiencing a general issue with the synchronization of some statistics between the app and the device. As you can imagine, we are actively working to find a solution so we can get all our users back on track.

Not exactly helpful response when you need to have accurate numbers. So my count is about 3000steps off actual count and over 300 fro

 Gitbit and the app. The app being the higher. So what is correct?
