Charge 6 bands constantly popping off!

So I bought a Charge 6 upgrade from the 5 a few weeks ago and within a day I had lost the watch somewhere because the band just popped off.  After a desperate search I decided to just buy another one and instant regret sunk in when within 20 minutes of wearing it the band just popped off when I brushed against my bed frame.  Thankfully I noticed it and put it back on, but I've noticed over the past few weeks the band constantly just pops off with the slightest but of awkward pressure.  I'm a mechanic, so I'm using my hands all day, and I've NEVER had this problem with any other fitbit over almost a decade.  I'm constantly checking my wrist making sure it hasn't just decided to leap off...  and it's becoming irritating.  It makes me just not want to wear a fitbit anymore.

I'm gonna ask here if anyone (or if FITBIT themselves, god forbid) have a solution for this?  Honestly if it pops off one more time I'm just gonna buy a different brand watch I hate having to be paranoid about it all day.  I wasted $180 once because of this obvious design flaw and I feel like I should just consider the other $180 wasted because it's inevitably going to fall off somewhere I'll lose it again.

I've tried several different bands from different brands because the ones they send with it are trash. All of them pop off just as easy.

As the Charge 6 ages, I have been experiencing similar issues.  Fortunately, I have found it each time so far.  Even the clasp on the watch itself has come out.  It is very hard to put it back in properly.

Yes, my kept falling off too and unfortunately I also lost it!

It's only 11 months old and I think the warranty should cover a faulty device, but customer care told me it is not their "policy" to replace lost items.

Which I find irritating given this is clearly an issue as identified by all the comments here...

I had constant issues with my Charge 5, so I went back to a 4, which has a more secure clasp arrangement. I was looking here to see if there were issues, I guess there are so not going to upgrade to the 6 for sure now.  I'll stick with my little refurbished 4.

I had problems with my 4, the open button came off. Only on 1 side. But after a few years of using the other kind of band it broke on the other side too. I have the other kind on my new charge 6, and no issues at all.

Just got a new charge 6 and was debating returning it thinking it was a flaw in that latch but found your comment and it worked so here to say thanks!

I just came here to say to try the same thing. This has worked for me-no idea why except that the connectors are slightly differently shaped so maybe that is the difference and why this works.

In the last few months Ive been having the same issue with my Charge 6. I've tried multiple bands and even wearing differently, (likes flipped),  I've cleaned the lock area also. Still with the slightest twist of my wrist or bump it pops off. I too, was thinking about changing brands/style, just to have a different band. I don't want to, but like others have also said, this is very frustrating.

I think you're either going to replace it preemptively, or you'll replace it when you lose it for good. I was "fortunate" enough to find it about eight times, and eventually I Lost it for good. Never again.

Same thing is happening to me... I have a couple ideas that I am going to try... I think the issue may be the replacement metal bracelet band that I put on soon after I got the Fitbit 6... I'm not a fan of the original supplied rubber bands, and have been using similar metal bracelet types on my previous Charge 5 and 4 that eventually stopped working properly... so I'm re-installing the original band to see what happens... if I don't end up losing it !

I am not having a problem with the original rubber Fitbit Charge 6 band that I reinstalled after wearing it for several days... so I decided to see what the problem might be with the replacement metal bracelet band might be... it seem to work find for several days when I first received it, but I had it fall off a few times recently.

From what I could tell, the issue is that the groove behind the locking piece on the metal bracelet is not quite deep enough, so I deepened the groove a bit by relieving some metal using my Dremel tool and a pointed bit.

The band now locks in place, and I cannot pull it out by tugging on it... I have worn it for several days, so I decided to report my finding... here is a photo to help show what I did... this may be an issue with other replacement bands.
