Received the notification for firmware update v 4.58 today and since performing the update my charge 6 is constantly restarting on it's own . I have manually restarted both my phone and charge to see if this can rectify the issue but this has not helped. My mobile is Sony xperia iii.

Hi @DBdoodles, welcome to our Community, is great to have you around!
Could you please describe me how you did the restart of your device. I want to know if it was with menu, cable or the button.
As a recommendation you could try to improve your situation by changing the clock face of your device like it´s shown in this article. How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
You can also try to turn off and on your device as a further step.
I recommend you to try the restart in the following way:
Another way to restart your device is to unplug it, wait a second, and plug it back in. Repeat this process 3 times in an 8 seconds interval and then wait 10 seconds until the device restarts.

I have tried both these ways of restarting the device several times now and is still continuing to behave in this way . I can't change the clock face as it continually loses connection with my phone so fails . Device was working perfectly before the update on device was made 😭

I have restarted the device several times now both ways and still remains
the same. I cannot change the clock face as it's losing connection all the
time so is failing constantly. All working perfectly fine before the update
to device 😭
