Charge 6 counting steps innacurately

Hey all! I was just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing the very inaccurate step counter as of late? I was on a walk today and hit 10k steps while I was still walking. When I got home and looked at my step counter I noticed that it said 9k steps walked. A littke while later it hit 10k steps again. I then watched it change from 10.8k steps to 10.2k steps a few hours later. Once we started preparing dinner my Versa notefied me for the 3rd time today that I had just hit 10k steps again... does anyone know why it could change/ glitch this much? My dad has had a similar expirience last week

Good to see you participating in the community @kinodmer.

Thank you for providing the details regarding this situation with your Charge 6.

Please try the three pulse restart method described here below:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end of the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

In the meantime, you can find more useful information about the accuracy of Fitbit devices and how to adjust your stride length and dominant hand settings here, as this has been helpful for other users.
