Charge 6 counts steps during bike session

Hello, I've been using my Charge 6 for about 1 month and I'm quite satisfied. However, I noticed that with road cycling sessions (both with manual activation of the training session and with automatic activation) steps and a wrong distance are counted in the daily summary. Is it normal? I noticed that also when I moving by car some steps are counted. Is it possible to deactivate this wrong step counting?

thanks for your feedback

Any steps from bicycling just come from vibrations through the wrist.  You might think that these should be automatically be deactivated when cycling is activated but not so. As for daily distance summary, Cycling intentionally is not included;  it includes only step-based distances.

As for steps in car, again just from vibrations.  There used to be some special activity you could use to not count the steps but I think that has long been gone, though recently I have seen some references to some such "riding" activity or something like that.  I can't vouch for that, and I don't think that's it exactly.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
