not just you kurtwanabe, I've been a fitbit user for years, (waaaay back to the original fitbit) the notifications on the band/watch used to be bulletproof but in the last couple of devices i have owned (inspire 3 and more recently charge 6) have been hit and miss to say the least. On setup my notifications didn't come in at all, reconnecting Bluetooth reconnected the device and i got phone and text notifications back again but it drops off after a while and i have to reconnect again, also my phone rings about 3-4 times before my charge registers there is a call coming in. It seems you have to have the fitbit app open on the phone (in the background) in order for all day sync to work, more often than not i have to do manual syncs. And lastly none of my GPS activities are synching with Strava anymore, even after completely disconnecting he accounts and reconnecting. Started off well but has gone down in my estimations over the past few years. And similarly i have a friend who has the same issue with notifications on his Versa. Seems to be a fitbit issue more than a user issue.
Mine is the same.. I called support and they gave me several things to try and told me they wouldn’t warranty it till I send them a ton of screenshots… I send it back and got another one and I’m having the same issues… and the clasp doesn’t hold well on either device… I want my charge 4 back… it was great.. I think the charge 6 is garbage

I need to point out that you won’t see notifications if you turned on settings such as focus, do not disturb, quiet hours, or driving mode on your phone.

All settings are set correctly - it vibrates when I get a phone call, but not text or whatsapp messages.

If you just updated the Fitbit app. Restart your phone and try setting up notifications again. To do so, follow our instructions in our help article How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? below "How do I set up notifications?". Depending on the operating system your mobile uses, you can find detailed instruction in this section.
