Charge 6 not updating

Today, when I open the Fitbit app on my Android phone, it tells me I have "No Data".  When I swipe down to re-synch, it spins for several seconds (much longer than normal), then gives the message "Couldn't synch your Charge 6. Tap to open help".  Tapping does nothing.  I noticed that the device icon in the upper left corner has a red dot, which would seem to indicate that there is some sort of notification, so I tap the icon.

That opens a screen that says "Connected to Fitbit", and my Charge 6 "Update available".  That "update available" text blinks every few seconds, and I have seen it go into a period of several seconds where it alternates with another message, but it is blinking too fast to read.  If I tap on that part of the screen it opens another screen that gives me a status :

- Charge 6

- Synced 16 hr ago

- Firmware Version 66.20001.202.94

Near the bottom of the screen is an area labled "Sync" that says "Sync now" "16 hr ago", and at the right is a red dot with an exclamation point that blinks every couple of seconds. Touching that dot responds with that area of the screen getting a grey background for a second, then returning.

So what to I have to do to get the update and make my app start syncing again?

Hello there @Stuckyville! So good to see you in the Community.

Thanks for sharing with us the situation you are having with your Charge 6 and for trying to solve the problem with the pending update.

Does your Charge 6 still have the issue?

I suggest trying these steps to solve this:

  1. Restart your tracker.
    1. Connect your device to the charging cable.
    2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times, pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.
  2. Restart your phone, and retry the update.
  3. Log in to your Fitbit account on a different device, and retry the update.

My stopped syncing at 12:31 am today.  No amount of uninstalling, reinstalling software, rebooting my phone a zillion times is making it work.  It won’t even shut down when I press the button on the cable.  I’m getting really annoyed at this point.  It just keeps coming off bluetooth and won’t connect with my phone.  Please help!!!!

Fatima, support got me reconnected to Bluetooth (had to re-add the device for it to respond to reset) but some of my data still not syncing (sleep, rhr) and yesterdays info not syncing) tech said to give it 24 hours & call back tomorrow if not resolved but I feel like it shouldn’t take so long to “catch up”.  Appreciate any ideas you might have!

I'm having the same issue.  I thought it was fixed with doing all the steps they say on here and it worked one day before it stopped syncing again.

I had to get on the phone with them. They got it fixed and now it’s fine.
I would tell you what to do, but they had me do so many different things. I
can’t remember which one worked.😆😆😆

Just go ahead and call their customer service they’ll fix it for you. Good
luck!
