Charge 6 pulse reading too high

Just upgraded from Charge 5 to Charge 6 and the pulse recording is now way off. Charge 5 was accurate.
When chest strap measures 95 and Garmin Fenix6 (wrist) measures 96, the Charge 6 measures 170.
I am wearing it tight enough and have had all the Fitbit Charges from the start and I have never seen this issue.
What to do? Return it?
