Did you mean:

Charge 6 screen is all thin horizontal lines

The screen on my 13 month old Charge 6 has suddenly gone to a mass of thin white horizontal lines. I can't see any clock or apps at all, but all the watch functions seem to be working (sync, heart rate, etc).

I have tried every suggested fix on the internet for dead screen and nothing works (fully charge, reboot, change clock face, update, uninstall apps, etc, etc).

Is my barely-one-year-old watch dead? Please help.

As mentioned in my initial post, the watch correctly syncs to my phone and restarts. Although I can't see on the screen that it correctly restarts, it seems to make all the right vibrations to indicate that it restarts.

Hi Mario,

I have restarted my device, its fully charged, also uninstalled app and reinstalled it, pressed button on side for 30 seconds, nothing has worked and I cannot see anything now but horizontal lines. It will not let me see the time or anything else.

Thank you for your assistance,

Alison

Hi Mario,

When I tap the face I cannot get onto anything but the striped horizontal lines. So I cannot see the time or anything at all.

Thank you for trying to help me. Any more suggestions please?

Hi @AliClem ! Thank you for your message.

Is your device syncing? I ask this question because if so, you can perform the clock face change using directly the Fitbit app on your tablet or phone.

In order to manually sync your Fitbit device:

  1. With your Fitbit device nearby, open the Fitbit app and select the Today tab..
  2. Tap and hold on the screen, then pull down until a progress bar appears at the top.
  3. Release your finger and wait for the progress bar to fill.

To change the clock face:

  1. With your device nearby, in the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab >  devices icon > your device.
  2. Tap Gallery > Clocks tab.
  3. Browse the available clock faces. Tap the clock face you want > Install.

Dear MarioSFitbit

It is a special kind of rubbish product support to just keep repeating the
same old lines to consumers who experience the same problem and have
repeatedly said that none of the suggested remediation steps work. Maybe
one day, Fitbit will admit that the problem is HARDWARE FAILURE of the
screen, and that no amount of software tinkering will fix it.

My Charge 6 is now in the bin. I have a new Garmin.
