Charge 6 suddenly won't hold charge

My charge 6 which I bought and started using in December has suddenly stopped holding its charge. Two days ago and before it would hold a charge for 5 days. As of yesterday a full charge will last only 8 hours.

I have not changed any settings that I am aware of...........

Hello @lostdart58

Sorry to see that your Charge 6 is not holding a charge. This article has the recommended troubleshooting steps to try, including checking settings: Can I extend my Fitbit battery life? (<-- click link)

If you confirm that your settings are optimized for battery life and you're still seeing rapid loss of battery, you should contact Fitbit support (<-- click link). If they confirm that your device is defective, they should let you know what are your options under warranty.

Same exact things happening to me. Bought my charge 6 about a month ago. It used to last me around 5 days with all the default settings. Since Sunday it barely holds it charge throughout the day and I can get 1 day of battery at best. Please let me know if anyone found a solution

I contacted the Fitbit support link. and chatted with a representative. I am being sent a replacement Charge 6.

I have the exact same problem.  Bought in December.

I was the original poster.

Fitbit sent me a new Charge 6 free of charge.

Sadly the new Charge 6's battery died about 6 month after I received it.

I have used Fitbits for about 10 years. For the longest time the bands always seem to break on earlier models. I had no issue on the bands on the Charge 6.

At this point I have moved on to another company..........

Stop holding a charge started about 9 month usage then it completely drained when I just passed about 10 days of the 365 warranty period.

I followed their instruction (obviously although it was not an issue with the dirt/debris for contact), and it clearly showed that the battery inside my Charger 6 was done. It only powers up when I connect to the charging cable and shows the battery level from 91% to 100% randomly, and finally I could swipe up and down, left to right when it’s connected to the cable, but when I disconnect it it completely goes off right away.

I’m regretting that I didn’t contact the CS when it firstly happened about 2 month ago and I don’t get any replacement. The Charger 6 is now a useless black plastic. Wish it held its value more than just one year.. probably it’s the time for me to move to another company. (Ugly apple watch maybe..)

make sure you check your fitbit and contact them before the 365 date point for a replacement!
