Charge 6 unresponsive

Hey guys, I need some help with my Fitbit charge 6. It’s only around 1 year old, and has not been heavily used. I stopped wearing it for a few months, and recently went back to it to find that the screen won’t work. The green flashing sensor and the vibrations work, and the device will sync to my app and shows a full charge, but the screen just doesn’t display. I have tried changing the clock face and re-syncing, as well as restarting through the charging port, but this doesn’t work. The app says that I have an update needed, but when I go to try and install the update, the app wont let me proceed.

Any advice?

Hi there @Ashannah!

A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Thank you so much for letting us know that your Charge 6 is unresponsive. Thanks for all your efforts too.

Have you already checked if you have the latest version of the Fitbit app? (The 4.45 version).

Make sure your Charge 6 is charged and then try these steps:

  1. Restart your Charge 6 again this way: unplug it, wait a second, and plug it back in. Repeat this process 3 times in an 8 seconds interval and then wait 10 seconds until the device restarts.
  2. Restart your phone, and retry the update.
  3. Log in to your Fitbit account on a different device, and retry the update.
